Scarab Opal Pendant
Carved by a master. This tiny scarab, carved into a stable Ethiopian opal, is absolutely beautiful. It was hand-fashioned in Australia by a master gemstone carver, and we set into a streamlined bezel with an open back to highlight the beautiful red flashing of this unique opal.
Opals were once said to provide a cloak of invisibility if wrapped in a bay leaf and held in the hand. They are known as a stone that brings luck to the wearer. They are the October birthstone.
Made completely by hand in recycled 18k and 22k gold, this is truly a one of a kind charm. It has a looped oval bale that will fit most chains.

Fine jewelry should be treated with care. It is best practice to remove jewelry when coming home, and to put it back on when leaving the house. This can lengthen the life of a piece dramatically, and can lessen the chances of damaging an item.
To clean at home we recommend scrubbing them with a soft toothbrush and warm, soapy water.
Opals have a hardness of 6.
