An opal framed in gold. This pretty stone was cut and polished by a young artisan/archeologist specializing in Australian opals. Fixed onto a chain combining our Silk Link elements and Elongated Silk Link chain, it is the perfect little every day staple that will bring a pop of pastel color to your neck. Opals were once said to provide a cloak of invisibility if wrapped in a bay leaf and held in the hand. They are known as a stone that brings luck to the wearer. They are the October birthstone.
Made completely by hand in recycled 18k and 22k gold, this is truly a one of a kind stone. It has a looped oval bale that will fit most chains.

Fine jewelry should be treated with care. It is best practice to remove jewelry when coming home, and to put it back on when leaving the house. This can lengthen the life of a piece dramatically, and can lessen the chances of damaging an item.
To clean at home we recommend scrubbing them with a soft toothbrush and warm, soapy water.
Opals have a hardness of 6.
