When selecting a ring size, we recommend ordering on the small side for thin bands, and on the large side for wide bands. It is also important to take into consideration your body's tendency to swell with temperature fluctuations; your ring might feel tight in the summer and loose in the winter. If you are able to come to our San Francisco studio we would be happy to size your finger for you. Alternatively, you can have your finger sized by any jeweler in standard American sizing. Please note that sizing systems may vary from studio to studio, and sizing is not an exact science. For international sizings, we refer to this chart.

If you are purchasing a ring as a gift, please contact the studio and we would be happy to walk you through the process of selecting a size.

Each piece is carefully hand-fabricated and set in our San Francisco studio. Normally stocked items will be shipped within one to two weeks. For regularly stocked items we request that you allow one to two weeks for production and delivery. In-stock items will ship within 24 hours. For custom, one-of-a-kind, and special orders we ask that you allow a 4 to 6 week lead-time for production. If you would like to request a rush please contact the studio; we are happy to oblige in special circumstances.

The packages that we send are insured and expedited, so you don't have to worry about your purchase getting from here to there. 

We stand by the quality of our work and guarantee quality with normal wear for one year. Please contact us should you ever have an issue or require a repair of an item and we would be happy to help as best we can. Because of the unique nature of Tura Sugden settings and fabrication, we request that most repairs and sizings be done in our studio. 

"Permanent" or welded jewelry, is essentially jewelry without a clasp, that has been fused together to create an infinite loop on the wrist, neck, or ankle. Permanent is a bit of a misnomer for any jewelry, welded or not, because everything is ephemeral. Gold wears thin with time, platinum molecules displace, and accidents happen. Welding your handmade chain is the most secure way of ensuring long lasting wear, but nothing is truly permanent. When you are ready to remove your chain it will need to be cut off, and we would be happy to guide you.

To start, this is exclusively being offered in our San Francisco studio, in Noe Valley. Limited appointments are available Monday - Saturday.

Yes! We encourage you to make each piece your own. Ask us about adding gemstones or custom chain combinations and lengths.

We ask that you complete your purchase prior to booking your appointment, as we will need up to two weeks to hand-make your chain. You can purchase your chain on the website under Welded Chains. We will send you an appointment link after checkout.

The cost of welding is $100, plus the cost of your selected handmade chain + tax.
